OUR HISTORICAL MISSION

Pure Heritage, Modern Calm.

Our organic estates are located along the volcanic slopes of Kagoshima and misty hills of Shizuoka, Japan. For four generations, our family-partnered farms have cultivated tencha leaves using organic composting and natural mountain runoff water.

We started xmatcha to restore a quiet, mindful pause to our high-speed daily routines. We believe that clean energy shouldn't come from chemical stimulants, but from shade-grown leaves rich in L-theanine.

MILL SPEED & FRICTION ANALYTICS

The Slow Stone-Mill Process.

30 RPM Mill Rotation

Our granite stones rotate at exactly 30 revolutions per minute. Rotating any faster would generate friction heat, scorching the delicate leaves and ruining the amino acid compounds responsible for the natural sweet finish.

5-10 Micron Particle Size

The slow stone friction yields an ultra-fine particle size (finer than baby powder). This structure allows the matcha particles to whisk into a complete, velvety micro-foam rather than sinking to the bottom of your bowl.

PHOTOSYNTHETIC SHADING

25-Day Shade Growing.

Exactly 25 days before harvest, our farmers cover the tea fields with traditional straw mats (tana). This blocks 90% of sunlight, forcing the tea leaves to compensate by producing massive amounts of chlorophyll and amino acids (especially L-theanine).

This shading is what gives ceremonial grade xmatcha its signature vibrant jade green color and sweet, bitter-free taste profile.

* Note: Sun-grown green tea contains higher levels of bitter tannins. Shade-growing locks in the sweet umami flavor of traditional matcha.
